This is the ceremony by which all two year old SeaWing dragonets are tested to see whether of not they exhibit the recessive animus gene.

History

After being bullied by his elder sister, Princess Sapphire, Prince Albatross discovered his magical abilities by commanding a shell to "Bite her talons off!", leading to the loss of a potential candidate for the SeaWing throne. To prevent any other such catastrophic event and to better make use of animus magic, a "ceremony" was created in which dragonets would attempt to enchant something simple (such as a coconut) to see if they had the animus gene.

Prince Fathom, when he was a dragonet, took the test with his sister Pearl, friend Indigo, and several other SeaWing dragonets around the same age.
