Talons Of Power is the ninth book in the Wings of Fire series. Tui T. Sutherland has confirmed that the main character is a SeaWing. At The Brightest Night's launch party, she mentioned a possible return of a SeaWing royal daughter, or perhaps one of Tsunami's brothers. It has been confirmed that the protagonist is related to Tsunami and didn't appear in the the first five books, so it could be a male prince, most likely Turtle. It will be released on June 28th, 2016.
Talons of Power follows Escaping Peril and precedes Book 10.
Tui T. Sutherland said on her blog that the ninth book will be the one to "rip out your heart and stomp on it.
