Strongwings is a NightWing featured in both The Dark Secret and The Brightest Night. He is described as strong and burly, hence his name. Not much is known about him, but the preview to The Brightest Night shows that he may be a major character.
The Dark Secret
In The Dark Secret, he was the lab assistant of Mastermind and was shown wanting to wear Mastermind's helmet when they were testing to see if RainWing venom could penetrate a special mask.
Tsunami forced Strongwings to swear allegiance to Queen Glory when the NightWings evacuated their island.
The Brightest Night
Strongwings was one of the dragons aiding in the capture of Sunny in the preview of The Brightest Night. He seemed to have a liking to Fierceteeth, the dragon behind the plot to capture Sunny. Their hope was to hold Sunny hostage, so Fierceteeth could overthrow Queen Glory. Strongwings hopes to be the king, which explains why he is helping Fierceteeth.
Then, Strongwings, Fierceteeth, and Preyhunter decide to hand Sunny over to Burn and the location of the Dragonets of Destiny. They don't want to fly to Burn's Stronghold, so they decide to have The Outclaws send her a message.
On their flight to the Scorpion Den, they take several breaks due to their poor condition and stamina. Sunny follows them, interested. They arrive at the Scorpion Den, and a guard prevents them from progressing. They claim that since they're NightWings, they should be treated well. The guard sends them to Thorn, the leader of The Outclaws, and Sunny is sent behind them.
Thorn asks for the whereabouts of Morrowseer, and the three NightWings claim that he's dead. Out of rage, Thorn kills Preyhunter and threatens Strongwings and Fierceteeth. Sunny stops her, and the two SandWings leave for a private conversation.
Fiereceteeth and Strongwings are not mentioned for the rest of The Brightest Night.
