Stonemover changed his animus curse so that his scales would turn to stone instead of losing his soul.
He sent Thorn, Sunny's mother and his mate, a message telling her to meet him at the Jade Mountain, but it was intercepted by Smolder, therefore, Thorn had no idea what happened to him. Years later, she found his message, and was enraged that he hadn't sent another one.
