Queen Splendor was one of the queens of the RainWings until the NightWings kidnapped her; she was the only queen to be captured. Her name is a synonym of glory, which is the name of one of the main characters.
History
Queen Splendor was the first RainWing to be kidnapped by the NightWings. The NightWings assumed that if they captured the RainWings' queen, the tribe would obey them, seeing their queen at their mercy. However, this plan failed, since a RainWing queen really isn't royalty, except for Queen Grandeur. Splendor accidentally sprayed her abductor, Vengeance, when he was trying to knock her unconscious. In The Dark Secret, Starflight and Fatespeaker see her as one of the captives in the NightWing Dungeon. Deathbringer had been locked to a cage beside Splendor. Shortly before the volcano erupts, Starflight and Glory free her. She is terrified, and screams that there is lava coming through the walls and they are all going to die. However, she survives.
