Template:SpoilerDragonslayer Template:Charbox Sky is a young male SkyWing who appeared in Dragonslayer. He plays a major role as Wren's best friend and traveling companion, and is currently the only dragon known to speak Human.

Appearance

Sky is described to have small ears, large eyes and minuscule claws by Wren and that his scales have “the palest orange she’d ever seen, like a "sunset painted on wool, then left under a waterfall or out in the sunlight for too long” or "the colour of the palest sunset over the mountains". He is "a very small, pathetic, skinny miniature of a dragon" and his eyes to be "pale, watery blue, like a frosted-over puddle" when he and Wren first met. His scales feel more like a lizard's, being "smooth and cool and a little pebbly, especially the softer scales under its chin and wings." He does not have smoke rising from his nostrils or have the capability to sneeze fire or breathe fire, leading Wren to later conclude that he is fireless. When Wren first found him, he was not much bigger than a rabbit. By chapter two, however, he is noted to be 3 times bigger than Wren.

Personality

Sky is shown to be kind and gentle in nature, as well as very giggly and excitable. He is very fond of animals, especially snails, shown protecting them or getting excited every time he sees one.

Biography

Just as Wren rescues Sky from the bushes, she sees a red dragon with a strange burn scar flying overhead, possibly looking for him. This might be Kestrel. It is also possible that since Sky was abandoned and he has no fire that he may be Peril's twin, the dragonet with no fire. More flying in soon...
