Appearance
Sandfly has pale yellow scales and is speckled everywhere with tiny black spots, like a swarm of flies against the pale desert[1] sand.
Personality
She appears to be loyal to Queen Wasp, and didn’t think that anyone would dare to steal the Book of Clearsight. She was also described to be uninterested in the flamesilks.

Sandfly makes her first appearance in The Lost Continent when she forces Admiral to supply his daily flamesilk. After he is done, Admiral introduces Blue to Sandfly, and the uninterested HiveWing guard remarks that he is very young. When Blue asks what happened to the dragons who stole the Book of Clearsight (Cricket and Sundew) Sandfly becomes shocked and shouts at him that that never happened, nobody would dare and asks him why he would say such traitorous things. Blue realizes that Queen Wasp must not have told her subjects about the incident, and he 'corrects' himself, saying that the thieves obviously failed. Sandfly is relieved and mentions that she didn't hear about an execution yesterday, so maybe today or tomorrow.
