The Royal SeaWing Massacre occurred after Prince Albatross of the SeaWings built the SeaWing Pavilion. As an animus dragon, Albatross's powers eventually overtook him and he was driven insane. Albatross managed to kill nine members of his family before being stabbed through the heart by a spear.
In Moon Rising, Moonwatcher is encouraged by Darkstalker to read a scroll about animus touched objects, which reveals some information about Prince Albatross and the Royal SeaWing Massacre.
