Template:Charbox Pierid is a male SilkWing who appears in The Lost Continent. He is one of the ten flamesilk SilkWings kept by Queen Wasp in the Flamesilk Factory.
Appearance
Pierid is described to have pink scales[1] and pale pink wings[2]. Not much else is known about his appearance.
Personality
Danaid claims that he is untrustworthy. Blue believed that Pierid seemed desperately unhappy, and was one of the few flamesilks who seemed to be interested in escaping the flamesilk cavern. When Blue first saw him, he noticed that his talons seemed to twitch in his sleep.
Biography
The Lost Continent Prophecy
While talking with Blue, Danaid accidentally began a shouting fight with Fritillary and Pierid. Pierid complained that various things the other flamesilks brought up throughout the argument weren't his fault, although eventually Danaid was able to shut him up. Afterward, Danaid listed all the flamesilks kept in the Flamesilk Factory to Blue, and described Pierid as untrustworthy.
Later, Blue visited all the flamesilks and noticed that Pierid seemed "desperately unhappy", which made him suspect that he didn't like life in the Flamesilk Factory.
At another point in the book, Blue had a nightmare where Danaid, Fritillary, and Pierid screamed at each other through the winding halls of Cricket's school.
Pierid was seen later, shouting along with the nine other flamesilks in the giant screaming match Danaid caused to distract everyone from Blue and Luna's escape. Pierid wailed at the others that it was midnight and that they needed to be quiet.
