Template:Charbox Pierid is a male SilkWing who appears in The Lost Continent. He is one of the ten flamesilk SilkWings kept by Queen Wasp and is said to be untrustworthy by Danaid. Blue states that he seems desperately unhappy, and is one of the few flamesilks who might be interested in escape. When Blue first noticed him, he noticed that his talons seemed to twitch in his sleep.
Appearance
Pierid has pink scales[1], pale pink wings[2] and other shades of pink, although his wings remain the lightest.
Biography
While talking with Blue, Danaid accidentally sparked up a shouting fight with Fritillary, and Pierid. Pierid complained that it wasn't his fault various things happened throughout the argument, although eventually, Danaid was able to shut him up. Afterward, Danaid listed all the flamesilks kept in The Flamesilk Factory to Blue and described Pierid as untrustworthy.
Later, Blue visited all the flamesilks and noticed that Pierid seemed "desperately unhappy", which made him suspect that he disliked life in the Flamesilk Factory.
Blue had a nightmare where Danaid, Fritillary, and Pierid screamed at each other through the winding halls of Cricket's school.
Pierid was seen later shouting along with the nine other flamesilks in the giant screaming commotion Danaid caused. Pierid wailed at the others that it was midnight and they needed to be quiet.
Trivia
- Pierid is named after the pieridae, a family of butterflies containing around 1,100 species.
