History

Talons of Power

Octopus was shown in the prologue with his hatchmates, Turtle and Cerulean, when King Gill came to ask them for help. He was also shown at the Talons of Power ceremony with his two brothers, Turtle and Cerulean.

Throughout the book, Turtle often thinks about him and Cerulean, specifically how he enchanted a seaweed in order to be faster than them in races and how his brothers exiled him for a month after the incident involving Snapper.

• An octopus is a cephalopod mollusk with eight sucker-bearing arms, a soft saclike body, strong beak-like jaws, and no internal shell.
• Prince Octopus is the fourth named son of Queen Coral, besides Prince Turtle, Prince Fin, and Prince Cerulean.
