The NightWing Portals (also known as wormholes) are used by the NightWings to make traveling easier, to their island and other locations, since it isn't shown on any known maps of Pyrrhia. There are currently two known portals, both with one side in the Rainforest Kingdom.
The portals seem give dragons a tingling feeling in their scales when they're near, described as a feeling of "awkward wrongness" and that the portals gave off the "I should not be here" feeling, possibly a result of animus magic.
History
The portals were made approximatly 2 years before the Dragonets were born, and it is known that Stonemover, a NightWing animus, was their creator. When the Dragonets of Destiny found the RainWing village, the dragonets discovered a strange tunnel inside a rock that led to the Kingdom of Sand, coming out just a few miles from Burn's Stronghold.
When the NightWings captured Glory, she was taken through another portal that took them to the Night Kingdom, where she eventually escaped the NightWings. Later, she used it to lead her army to the Night Kingdom.
It is unknown if the portals are still intact after the eruption of the volcano in the Night Kingdom, or if they will ever be used again.
