The NightWing Exodus was the event where the NightWings left the NightWing island due to the volcano explosion to live in the Rainforest Kingdom under the rule of Queen Glory.[1] The NightWings had to pledge their loyalty to Queen Glory when they passed through the tunnel connecting the NightWing island to the Rainforest Kingdom.
Description
When the volcano on their island began to erupt, the NightWings fled towards the enchanted tunnel leading to the rainforest. They were unprepared to take the Rainforest by force as they had once planned, and without their queen they each pledged allegiance to Queen Glory as they passed through the tunnel.[2]
Timeline
- Starflight escaped the NightWing island, warning Glory of their plans to attack and take the rainforest.[3]
- The NightWing Exodus was preceded by Queen Glory's attack on the NightWing island to free the imprisoned RainWings.[4] The attackers (several RainWings and the dragonets of destiny)[5] were still present on the island when the volcano began to erupt, and helped to corral the NightWings through the tunnel.
- Queen Battlewinner died immediately before the Exodus,[6] and the presiding heir, Greatness, pledged allegiance to Queen Glory, handing over care of her tribe to the RainWings.[7]
Trivia
- Morrowseer was the only NightWing not allowed to join the Exodus, as he refused to pledge allegiance to Glory.[8]
