Template:LocationHeader The three moons are visible from Pyrrhia and Pantala. When full, they grant NightWings hatched beneath them powers.[1] Approximately once every century all three moons will be full at once, resulting in a brightest night.

Imperial is the largest of the three moons. The others are named Oracle and Perception.[2]

History

Legends

Darkstalker hatched during a "brightest night", a night when the three moons are full.

The Dragonet Prophecy

The Dragonet Prophecy dictated that the five Dragonets of Destiny would hatch on a "brightest night"

The Jade Mountain Prophecy

The Lost Continent Prophecy

Effects

Nightwing powers

Nightwings, upon hatching on one full moon, will have the power of mindreading or prophecy, and those hatched under two full moons have both these powers. Examples include Moonwatcher. Dragonets hatched under three full moons will have both mindreading and prophecy, and these powers will be made stronger by the third moon. Examples include Darkstalker. It was once rumored that the third full moon also gave nightwings animus powers, but this was later disconfirmed, as animus powers have been proved to pass on genetically. The third moon is thought to stengthen these powers. The power of the gifts differ, such as Clearsight having extra strong foresight when only born on one moon. When the NightWings moved to the volcanic island, knowledge of these powers was forgotten, possibly on purpose, to make sure no dragon like Darkstalker will ever hatch again. NightWing eggs under a full moon's light will turn a polished silver color, while normal eggs remain black.

Others

There are no records of the moons affecting the other tribes.
