Monarch is an adult female SilkWing who was mentioned in The Lost Continent. She was the last queen of the SilkWings and ruled about fifty years prior during the Tree Wars. She gave up her position and allowed her tribe to be ruled by the HiveWings because she believed the Book of Clearsight said it must be so.

Blue wondered why Sequoia didn't accept Queen Wasp's rule as Monarch did.
Sundew talked about how Sequoia didn't back down like Monarch. Later, Hawthorn mentions how Monarch didn't ask questions about the Book of Clearsight when recounting the events leading up to the Tree Wars.
