Maximilian (Max) Meinzold is the illustrator of the covers and dragon tribe artwork for the German Wings of Fire books. He was born on March 1, 1987 and lives in Munich, where he is working as a graphics designer and illustrator at HildenDesign, mainly for fantasy, science fiction and middle grade/young adult literature. For example, the covers for the most recent German editions of J.R.R. Tolkien's books were all drawn by him.
