Maple was an elderly LeafWing of unknown gender that Clearsight could have moved in with in a possible future.

The Lost Continent Prophecy
In the prologue, after Clearsight arrived on Pantala and saved the tribes, Clearsight had several different visions about her future on the lost continent. In one of them, she moved in with the old, "affable" LeafWing, who was known as Maple.
