Mantis is an adult female HiveWing who was mentioned in The Hive Queen. She is a sister of Queen Wasp, and the former ruler of Mantis Hive. She is currently a prisoner in the flamesilk factory along with her other sisters.

Mantis was indirectly mentioned when Scarab talked about Wasp's mind control, and how it didn't work on herself or any of Wasp's sisters.
Mantis was indirectly mentioned when Luna mentioned that Wasp and the rest of the hive rulers excluding Jewel were prisoners in the flamesilk caverns.
