Kindle is an adult female SandWing who was introduced in Deserter. She formerly worked as a doctor in Burn's army, likely in the same encampment as Six-Claws on the outskirts of the Kingdom of Sand, but later fled to the Scorpion Den with Dune and Six-Claws. She is currently in a relationship with Six-Claws and is the mother of Ostrich.
Personality
Kindle tried her best to heal Dune’s injuries,[1] and seemed like she wanted to intervene against Burn's cruelty but did not dare.[2] She was horrified by Burn and pitied Dune, and she always seemed calm and efficient when taking care of her other patients.[3] She is described to have the same iron core as her daughter, Ostrich.[4]

| Though she did not appear directly, Qibli remembered how she and Six-Claws asked him to look after Ostrich. A drawing of her and Six-Claws is shown in Ostrich's cave while Qibli was searching Jade Mountain Academy for her, later discovering that Ostrich had been taken captive by Qibli's grandfather, Vulture. |

| Kindle was formerly a nurse in Burn's army, specifically stationed on the outskirts of the Ice Kingdom with Six-Claws' battalion, but left with Six-Claws to help carry Dune after Burn ripped apart Dune's wing (as a demonstration to Six-Claws of what would happen when her orders were questioned repeatedly and meaningfully). The trio then fled to the Scorpion Den together to flee the horrors of Burn's army. |
Relationships
Six-Claws always liked Kindle's calmness and efficiency. She trusts him.[3]
