Jade Mountain

The Jade Mountain is a mountain marked on the Map of Pyrrhia. It is located somewhere in the south, near the edge of the desert. From different approaches, it would look like a snake rising out of the ground to attack the clouds. It is the tallest mountain in the Claws of the Clouds mountain range. It has become a school for every tribe called The Jade Mountain Academy.

History

The Dragonet Prophecy

It is the place Kestrel told the dragonets to go if they needed her near the end of the first book, The Dragonet Prophecy. There is a so-called "dragon of Jade Mountain," whose tribe and gender are unknown, but this dragon is an ally of the Talons of Peace(He was later reaveled to be Stonemover).

The Brightest Night

It is confirmed in the book, by a lost letter Thorn had never received on time, that the mountain has some significant importance in the story. In the letter, the dragon of Jade Mountain is the NightWing dragon Stonemover, Sunny's father. He is found there inside, residing on the ground, unmoving, yet living. A fox called Dinner was delivering Stonemover's food for him.

Moon Rising

Jade Mountain is introduced as the location of Jade Mountain Academy, and is the featured location in Moon Rising. The caves have been renovated into a school environment, with certain caves leaving to certain classes, dorms, a library, and other school-essential rooms.

Escaping Peril

The beginning of Escaping Peril takes place in Jade Mountain, but they leave quite quickly.

Darkstalker (Legends)

Jade Mountain is mentioned by Clearsight while she was talking with Darkstalker before sealing him in Agate Mountain. It was also mentioned that it used to be only the second tallest mountain, until an earthquake that caused a part of the tallest mountain of the time, Agate Mountain, to collapse.

Inhabitants

Some dragons are shown to live within or around Jade Mountain. As well as Sunny’s father, animus NightWing Stonemover, the mountains are now a school/home for 27 dragonets and 5 teachers(along with Fatespeaker as a staff member), Jade Mountain Academy.
