The Invincible Lord is a male scavenger who appeared in Dragonslayer.
Appearance
The Invincible Lord was described as "looking perfect, as always, each dark hair combed into a thick royal mane, rings on every long thin finger, ruby-red robes without a wrinkle in sight". He was also mentioned to have cold, predatory eyes.
Personality
He is shown to be greedy, as he wanted The Dragonslayer (Heath), then Wren to work for him so he could build more Indestructible Cities and conquer the continent.
Biography
The Invincible Lord is mentioned many times throughout the story, but only an active part in the epilogue, where he states that he wants to "control" Wren, or as stated in the story, The Girl Who Controls Dragons. Throughout the story, he wants to have The Dragonslayer under his control to "slay dragons" though the way he says it is increasingly threatening. Over time, The Dragonslayer becomes incredibly afraid, to the point where he hires anyone who swears loyalty to him, which at that point, The Invincible Lord sends a spy, Boar, who becomes a close guard to The Dragonslayer. In the epilogue, The Invincible Lord shows he is a cruel and greedy leader, wanting to take over the world. His son, Undauntable, who fell in love with Wren, tries to lie and keep her safe, to which The Invincible Lord responds with, "Stop sniveling. You're lying. You're terrible at it." Then he stated that he was going to find this "girl" (Wren) and he was going to control her and then take over the world.
Quotes
"Sit with me, boy, [...] Apparently we have a visitor with a story worth hearing." - To Undauntable.
"Boar, [...] Welcome back. How was the city of Valor?"
"And what have you learned? Did you plant the stories I told you to? [...] Is he coming here at last?"
"What? [...] But there was a dead dragon! The last two spies said he has its tail!"
"Have you come to tell me that you are?"
"Demanded-- what? [...] How could a dragon say anything?"
"A girl? [...] Impossible."
"Where is this girl now?"
"Everybody out, [...] Boar, good work, and don't go far. I want every detail of this story. [...] You. Stay."
"Undauntable, [...] That man described a dragon whose scales seem to match the ones you wear. I think it's time you told me where you've been getting them."
"Stop sniveling. You're lying. You're terrible at it." - To Undauntable when he tries to lie about Wren to keep her safe.
