Herring was on duty with Snail, Kelp, and Flounder when Clay was chained to the floors of the [[Summer Palace of the Sea|Summer Palace]]. [[Tsunami]] tried to convince them to hand over the keys but they refused, saying that it was their orders. Luckily, Tsunami devised a plan of a way by saying that the world would be agonized if [[The Dragonets of Destiny|the dragonets of destiny]] didn't survive and it would be all their fault. One of the guards explained that Tsunami saved his brother when she told him to have his injuries looked at. Snail then handed the keys over while all the others hoped Tsunami would remember them when she became queen.
