Escaping Peril is the eighth book in the Wings of Fire series. No official release date or cover has been confirmed, although on the forums moderator Sarah E. confirmed a cover will be coming on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Tui T. Sutherland has said that the protagonist will be a SkyWing, and was eventually confirmed at an event that it would be Peril, who has appeared in The Dragonet Prophecy, The Brightest Night, and Moon Rising.
