- "We do not tolerate dangerous differences in the Sky Kingdom."
- — Eagle to Lagoon about animus dragons, Darkstalker
(Not to be confused with Eagle, a former SkyWing soldier featured in Winter Turning.)
Eagle was an adult male SkyWing who was introduced in Darkstalker. He was an ambassador and noble who accompanied Princess Sunset to the Island Palace with the intention of negotiating shore villages with the SeaWings. He was severely wounded by Albatross's enchanted knife during the Royal SeaWing Massacre, but survived to swear revenge against the SeaWing tribe. He returned to his kingdom to carry the message back to Queen Carmine.
Description
Eagle had shiny, polished red scales the color of hibiscus petals, drops of blood, or giant rubies.[1]
Personality
Eagle was spiteful towards the SeaWings for Sunset's death, and was quick to threaten them with revenge.[2] Much like the rest of his tribe, he was wary of animus magic.[3] He seemed supremely uninterested by Fathom's introduction of Indigo, and seemed disapproving of the fact that everything being served at the Island Palace was uncooked.[4]

| Eagle and Princess Sunset were visiting the Kingdom of the Sea to negotiate about border control. Queen Lagoon held an elaborate party to welcome them and to show off her two animus dragons. Both Eagle and Sunset tried to warn her that dragons who use animus magic will lose their souls, but then Albatross arrived and slaughtered most of the SeaWing royal family in the event known as the Royal SeaWing Massacre. Eagle and Sunset tried to escape by flying away from the palace, but Albatross's enchanted knife stabbed them and knocked them out of the sky. The knife narrowly missed Eagle's heart and he survived, but Sunset was killed. Eagle once again warned the SeaWings about animus powers before returning to the Sky Kingdom, swearing to avenge Sunset and exterminate the SeaWing tribe. |
