Dune is a SandWing, formerly a member of the Talons of Peace, and one of the Guardians of the Dragonets.
History
Dune was placed, along with Asha, Hvitur, Kestrel, and Webs to protect the dragonets of prophecy. However, due to the Mudwing and Skywing egg, Hvitur was caught by Burn, who smashed the SkyWing Egg and killed him. Asha died as well, from severe injury. This left him, Kestrel, and Webs to raise Tsunami, Clay, Sunny, Starflight, and Glory. He had lost one of his legs and incurably mangled his wing before the book started. His injury was most likley caused by rescuing Sunnys egg because he must of been able to fly there. It is unknown which side of the war he fought on before joining the Talons or whether he even fought at all.
