Dune is a Sandwing formerly a member of the Talons of Peace.
History
Dune was placed, along with Asha, Hvitur, Kestrel, and Webs to protect the dragonets of prophecy. However, due to the Mudwing and Skywing egg, Hvitur and Asha died. This left him, Kestrel, and Webs to raise Tsunami, Clay, Sunny, Starflight, and Glory.
