The dragonmancers are a supposedly powerful group of scavengers, or humans, residing in and presumably ruling over Talisman. Currently, the only named dragonmancers are Master Trout and Crow.
Although the dragonmancers claim to occasionally have visions, which apparently urge them to offer 'gifts' to the dragons, these are established as false early on in Dragonslayer.
