Template:Charbox Ex-Queen Cochineal was a female HiveWing who is Lady Scarab’s sister and likely Wasp's mother.
Appearance
Nothing definite is known, but it's possible that she has red scales like her namesake.
Biography
Lady Scarab mentions Cochineal in a conversation with Cricket, saying that she was told that the Book of Clearsight said that Cochineal must be the next Queen. Lady Scarab also says that her sister was a much better liar than she was, likely why she was chosen by their mother.
Personality
Little is known about Queen Cochineal but it can be assumed that she was very much like her successor and most likely daughter, Queen Wasp since Lady Scarab stated that Cochineal was an expert liar.

Trivia
- It's very likely (though not yet totally confirmed) that Cochineal is Queen Wasp's mother since Lady Scarab is Wasp's aunt and Lady Scarab has no other mentioned sisters.
- A cochineal is a small, grub-like bug.
