Cicada is an adult female HiveWing who was mentioned in The Lost Continent. She is one of Ex-Queen Wasp's sisters, and the former ruler of Cicada Hive. She is currently imprisoned in the flamesilk factory alongside her other sisters.

According to Blue, Cicada is intimidating, but to a lesser extent compared to Wasp.[2] She has an art gallery dedicated to her.[3]

The Lost Continent

After seeing Wasp for the first time on her visit to Silkworm Hall, Blue mentioned how Cicada never seemed quite as intimidating ever again.

Later, Blue and Luna visited the Lady Cicada Art Gallery which included many paintings, sculptures, and silk weavings of Cicada. It was mentioned that Cicada was old enough to be alive back when there were trees, and there was a small wooden sculpture of her in the center of the room.

The Hive Queen

When Scarab talked to Cricket about Wasp's mind control, the former indirectly mentioned Cicada when she stated that the mind control did not work on any of Wasp's sisters.

The Flames of Hope
