Chrysalis

The Chrysalis is a secretive underground movement of SilkWings who are planning to overthrow Queen Wasp. They appear to be similar to the Talons of Peace, as they are both little-known covert organizations (this is no longer true for the Talons of Peace). They most likely cannot include HiveWings because of Queen Wasp's mind-control, and as most of them seem to believe LeafWings are extinct, The Chrysalis is likely made up of just SilkWings. There is a Chrysalis group in each Hive, and it appears that six or seven SilkWings is the expectancy of members per Hive. They identify themselves to other members using the phrase "the seeds will grow again", which could be a reference to the flamesilks being free and/or trees growing again.

In the Metamorphis chamber, many of the silk tapestries contain small, hidden red symbols shaped like teardrops, which Blue calls "leafdrops." These symbols are likely related to the Chrysalis.

The Chrysalis was first mentioned in The Lost Continent, and later had a bigger role in The Hive Queen.

• Although all the hives presumably have Chrysalis groups, the Wasp Hive might be an exception due to it's high security.
• The Bloodworm Hive Chrysalis has a large amount of dragons in it's group due to Lady Bloodworm's cruelty.
