Cereus

Template:SpoilerDragonslayer Template:Charbox Cereus, referred to as Sweetface by Rose, is a female SandWing who was introduced in Dragonslayer. She patrols out to a certain part of the Sand Kingdom every night.

Appearance

Cereus was described as a "big sweet dragon", most likely with a sweet face, which was probably why she was given "Sweetface" as her nickname. She wears a patrol uniform.

Personality

Cereus is a dragon who is very fond of scavengers, especially Rose. She thinks they are adorable, and coos at them. Cereus was described to be quite annoying, considering how she didn’t listen when Wren was speaking Dragon to her, but instead went raving on about putting “little hats” on Wren. She is also friendly, considering that she talked to Sky without knowing him or judging his odd color.

Biography

Dragonslayer

Rose, Ivy, and Leaf devise a plan that will result in Leaf seeing Wren again. Cereus is chosen to carry Leaf. Leaf climbs onto Cereus’ back, while being invisible, as she does her rounds. Cereus is confused at why she can feel someone on her back but she can't see them, but Rose distracts her and Cereus thinks nothing of it, instead lifting off to do her rounds. When they fly for a little while, Leaf and Cereus see Sky in the distance. Cereus turns around and makes to fly back to the SandWing palace, but Leaf digs his feet into her shoulder and attempts to turn her around. She hits him off with her tail, and he starts to fall, only to be saved by her once she sees him. Cereus lands and talks with Sky for a little bit before flying off again to the SandWing palace.

Trivia

• A cereus is a genus of cacti.
• It's shown she thinks that Wren is Sky's pet and that he trained her to speak Dragon, even though Wren told her multiple times it's 'the other way around'.
• Cereus (Sweetface) is one of the six dragons to have a nickname, the other five being Princess Sunny (Beetle), Ex-Queen Magnificent (Maggie), Moonwatcher (Moon), Princess Snowfox (Fox) and Bumblebee (Bug).
