Cattail is a dappled brown female MudWing with brown eyes and yellow rings around each pupil. She is the mother of Clay, Umber, Reed, Sora, Pheasant, Crane, and Marsh. She is also the sister of Asha, and she was responsible for selling Clay to the Talons of Peace for two or more cows.

History

Pre-Series

Cattail had Clay and his siblings after a breeding night in the Mud Kingdom. Her sister, Asha, saw him to be the potential for the prophecy, seeing as his egg was blood-red. Cattail didn't care what happened to her eggs, like most MudWings, so she sold his egg to the Talons of Peace in exchange for two cows, and appeared to have no guilt or resentment towards the deal. In fact, she didn't even want to go back on it.

The Dragonet Prophecy

When Clay made his way back to her, along with the company of Glory, disguised as a MudWing, Cattail was irritated at his lack of knowledge about the traditions of MudWings. She also appears to hold no form of joy or emotion towards her children, as most MudWings go. She seemed distraught that Asha had died shortly after delivering Clay's egg. After that, Cattail left Clay and Glory, who were very upset at this news.
