Cattail

Cattail is a dappled brown MudWing with brown eyes and yellow rings around each pupil. She is the mother of Clay, Umber, Reed, Sora, Pheasant, Crane, and Marsh. She is also the sister of deceased Asha; she sold Clay to the Talons of Peace for two cows, which they were supposed to breed, but instead the MudWings just ate them instead.

History

We don't know much about Cattail's history and we probably never will. So far, we just know that she did not know who Clay and his siblings' father was and that Asha is her sister. She sold Clay's egg to Asha for some cows, the number of the cows is two.

Pre-Series

Cattail had Clay and his siblings after a breeding night in the Mud Kingdom. Her sister, Asha, saw him to be the potential for the prophecy. Cattail didn't care what happened to her eggs, like most MudWings, so she sold his egg to the Talons of Peace in exchange for two cows, and appeared to have no guilt or resentment towards the deal. In fact she didn't want to go back on it.

The Dragonet Prophecy

When Clay made his way back to her, along with the company of Glory, disguised as a MudWing, Cattail was irritated at him for his lack of knowledge about the tradition of the MudWings. She also appears to hold no form of joy or emotion towards her children, like most MudWings. She also seemed distraught that Asha had died shortly after delivering Clay's egg. After that, Cattail left Clay and Glory, who were very upset.
