Carnelian

Template:Infobox CharacterCarnelian is a SkyWing at the Jade Mountain Academy in the Jade Winglet. She is a loyal soldier and is only attending the academy because she was ordered to by Queen Ruby. She believes she should be guarding the Skywing Palace instead of going to school.

Moon Rising

Moon saw Carnelian in the sleeping quarters and soon realized that she would rather fight in battles than go to school with other tribes by reading the Carnelian's mind. Carnelian constantly complained about how Kinkajou talked all day and Moon talked all night, and she shot mean looks towards Flame due to his past involvement with the Talons of Peace. Later, Carnelian went to the history cave, but Moon and Qibli told her to not go into the history cave, but she ignored them. Sora's dragonflame cactus exploded, killing her along with Bigtail the Nightwing. However, the explosion was actually meant to kill Icicle. 

Personality

Carnelian was grumpy and preferred fighting over learning. She constantly wanted Queen Ruby to take her out of the school and let her go back to the SkyWing Palace to defend it. She did not like other dragons at all and rarely interacted with anyone, except when she met Umber. She thought that maybe because SkyWings and MudWings were allies in the war, maybe she could make friends with Umber. However, this was not the case, as she died in the history cave from the explosion of the dragonflame cactus set off by Sora before a friendship could form. Carnelian, as Moon saw from reading her mind, was secretly worried that Ruby would think she was dumb and all Carnelian's hopes of advancing to General one day would be ruined.
