Butterfly is a young male human who was introduced in Dragonslayer. He is Leaf's teacher's youngest son and currently resides in Talisman, a human settlement of Pyrrhia.
Description
As a four-year-old, Butterfly was small, with thin shoulders. He was also scrawny.[1]
Personality
Butterfly appeared to be very naïve, as he believed that the dragons were coming to eat him and that he would be the most delicious thing they had ever tasted.[1] He likes songs.[2]
Biography
Legends
Butterfly first appeared when Leaf, Rowan and Grove were running to shelter from the dragon that was flying overhead. Leaf saw Butterfly and recognized him as the youngest son of Leaf's teacher, and Leaf guessed Butterfly was about four years old. Butterfly was terrified of the dragons, saying that they had come to eat him and that he would be the most delicious thing they had ever tasted. Leaf calmed him down by singing a funny song about dragons while carrying Butterfly over to a safe space. Butterfly was half asleep in Grove's lap during most of the other three's conversation about Leaf becoming a Dragonslayer.
Six years later, when Wren came back to Talisman, she gave Butterfly the documents that proved the dragonmancers guilty.
