She used to be the commander of the Wingwatchers, but after Heath admitted to having lied about killing Queen Oasis and was forced to resign from his position as mayor of Valor, Brook promptly became the new mayor of Valor.

At the end of the book, she becomes the new lord of Valor after Ivy exposes Heath.
