The Brightest Night occurs when all three moons are full, which occurs about every one hundred years. The prophecy dragonets were born on one of these.
History
Darkstalker was born on a brightest night. Whiteout also was supposed to be, but newborn Darkstalker prevented this. Not much is known about the phenomenon, other than the fact that NightWings born under three full moons hatch with very powerful prophecy and mind-reading powers.
Next Brightest Night
During the events of The Brightest Night, there appears to be a second brightest night, many decades before the next one should have been.
