Boto appeared to be often scared and nervous, and was shown twice to turn into shades of green. He appeared to be mostly worried over death and injury, given his conversation with Peril and asking if Darkstalker was going to kill them.
Biography
He was described to be dancing with both Sepia and Kinkajou when the Jade and Silver Winglets used instruments together in the music room at Jade Mountain Academy. Later in the book, he was shown resting in a patch of sunlight along with two other RainWing students, Coconut and Siamang.

Trivia
- Boto was still worried about Darkstalker even after the spell he cast, which might imply that the spell was focused on dragons Darkstalker was near to or likely to meet. However, it may also imply Darkstalker didn't see him as much of a threat.
