Arid is a SandWing of unknown gender attending the Jade Mountain Academy as a member of the Quartz Winglet. She/he appeared along with Pronghorn and Ostrich when Moon and Qibli came to talk to Onyx about the fire. When Moon read Arid's mind, it was discovered that they either supported Burn or Blaze during the Great War, but now supports Thorn and is highly respective of her or anyone involved with her, such as Qibli. It is unknown if Arid will be mentioned in the upcoming books at all.
