Arid is a SandWing in the Quartz Winglet of the Jade Mountain Academy. S/he appeared along with Pronghorn and Ostrich when Moon and Qibli came to talk to Onyx about the fire. When Moon read his/her mind, it was proven that s/he either supported Burn orBlaze during the Great War , but now supports Thorn and is highly respective of her or anyone involved with her. It is unknown if s/he will be mentioned in the upcoming books.
