Arid is a SandWing in the Quartz Winglet of the Jade Mountain Academy. S/he appeared along with Pronghorn and Ostrich when Moon and Qibli came to talk to Onyx about the fire. When Moon read his mind, it was proven that s/he either supported Burn or Blaze during the Great War, but now supports Thorn and is highly repective of her or anyone involved with her. It is unknown if she/he will be mentioned in future books.
