Template:Infobox CharacterVermilion is a SkyWing prince and the brother of Queen Ruby. He is Queen Scarlet's only known son, with scales of a vibrant blood-red. He is the announcer of the Skywing arena matches and is the prosecutor in trials, which he announces on top of a sand mound. He is also in The Brightest Night's collector's edition.
Vermilion, although unnamed at the time, was the announcer for the fight between Horizon and Peril. Later on, Vermilion stood as the prosecutor on Kestrel's trial. The next day, he announced the battles on his mother's hatching day. Tsunami nearly attacked him before her fight with Gill.
According to the Collector's Edition, Smolder had sent Vermilion a letter about his pet scavenger, Flower, and how to take care for one. Smolder sent a return letter with tips and instructions.
Trivia
"Vermillion" is another way to spell the word, but isn't the correct spelling for the character.
It was revealed in The Brightest Night Collector's Edition that Vermilion was considering having a scavenger as a pet like Smolder does.
