The Temple of Clearsight is a temple located in Wasp Hive and is devoted to the Book of Clearsight, a book of visions written by the ancient NightWing visitor, Clearsight. It is first seen in The Lost Continent. It was said to have been made out of 60 different kinds of wood fitting together like the pieces of a puzzle.

Appearance

The Temple of Clearsight is made of multiple types of wood. The temple has three different rooms with entrances guarded by two armed HiveWings each. The first has a koi pond. The second room contains a tree-like stand for the Book of Clearsight, which is in a locked wooden case shaped like a book. There are dragons designed all over the case. The only light in the room comes from a lantern over the Book's case, and its reflection in the tiny moonstone stars scattered across the wooden ceiling.

There is also a door from the final room, where The Librarian spends her life. Her room is small, and has only a bamboo mat and some bookshelves. Blue thinks the final room looks like a prison. The room also has an open skylight going through the top of the Hive, which Cricket and Sundew use to escape.

History

Blue, Cricket, and Sundew venture to the Temple to steal the Book of Clearsight, under orders from Belladonna and Hemlock. Sundew blow-darts the guards, which paralyzes them. This prevents the guards from stopping them. When they enter the final room, The Librarian (under the control of Queen Wasp), emerges to stop them from stealing the prized Book of Clearsight. She tells them she's been expecting them, and muses about the three different tribes working together. Sundew attacks her, and in the scuffle, the key to the Book's case, kept around the Librarian's neck, is ripped off and falls where Blue can reach it. He uses the key to unlock the case, and takes the book.

Eventually, Sundew figures out enough pain will drive Wasp out of her host, and puts bullet ants on The Librarian. The ants bite The Librarian, causing her severe enough pain to leave her body. The Librarian is thankful that they freed her from Wasp's constant control, and help them escape. Blue gets captured and taken to The Flamesilk Factory, while Cricket and Sundew escape with the Book through a skylight.
