Talons of Power is the ninth book in the Wings of Fire series. Tui T. Sutherland has confirmed that the main protagonist will be Prince Turtle.

According to Amazon, it will be released December 27, 2016.

Talons of Power follows Escaping Peril and precedes Book 10.

Tui T. Sutherland said on her blog that the ninth book will be the one to "rip out your heart and stomp on it."

It will pick up right after Escaping Peril's ending.

Trivia

  • This is currently the only book in the main series with an animus as the PoV.
  • On the cover, Turtle is missing his bracelet.
  • On the cover, Turtle's photophores give off blue light, but in the book they are described to give off a greenish light.
  • On the cover, Turtle's royal wing patterns, as well as Tsunami's on the cover of The Lost Heir, are not visible, perhaps because of the sunlight being brighter than the glow stripes.
