Silverspot is an adult female SilkWing who appeared in The Lost Continent. She is Luna's biological mother, Blue's stepmother, and Burnet's partner. She was formerly partnered with Admiral, and currently works under her mistress.

Personality

Silverspot seems more emotionally connected to her children than her partner, Burnet, is. This is shown when she claims that she will try to attend Luna's metamorphosis and that she also expressed concern for Luna's fate. According to Blue, Silverspot and Burnet love each other more than they could have ever loved Admiral.

The Lost Continent Prophecy

The Lost Continent

Silverspot and Burnet were both former assigned partners of Admiral at roughly the same time. However, he was supposedly "whisked away to another Hive once there were eggs," which was presumably a lie of Queen Wasp's to veil the truth about flamesilks. Silverspot resulted being given the partner of her choice, Burnet, which was nearly unheard of. Even so, they "loved each other more than they ever loved Admiral," as stated by Blue. When Blue and Luna were leaving to get honey drops, Silverspot told her daughter to have a wonderful "last" day, causing suspicion and worry from Blue. She said that she might not make it to the Cocoon for Luna's metamorphosis, but that she would try. Luna was content and wanted them to go flying together when she had wings, but Silverspot seemed very anxious and fearful. Silverspot ended up not making it to Luna's metamorphosis. Burnet then mentioned that she and Silverspot had always suspected that Luna and Blue were flamesilks, although they never told their dragonets. Blue thinks of Silverspot and Burnet a number of times afterward, stating that he misses them both and that he would not just leave them at the mercy of the HiveWings.

The Hive Queen
Silverspot is briefly mentioned when Blue states that he misses his moms.

The Dangerous Gift
Silverspot was mentioned by Blue to be in the Hatchery with all the other SilkWings until there was more breath of evil ready for them. Snowfall recounted this event about Blue and his mothers later.

The Flames of Hope
Silverspot was mentioned by Swordtail when Luna used the dreamvisitor to contact him

Blue stated that Silverspot and Burnet "loved each other more than they could ever have loved Admiral," and that their partnership worked out for the best.
