The Scorching was a period of time in Pyrrhia when the Dragons overthrew the Scavengers, that used to be the dominant life form.

Dragon tribes were formed based on abilities and habitats (deserts, mountains, rainforests, etc). Each tribe chose a queen, thus allowing dragons to get help when they needed it (such as Osprey), making it extremely hard for a scavenger to kill any one dragon, which is mentioned several times in The Dragonet Prophecy. Although, centuries later, a scavenger managed to kill Queen Oasis, proving that scavengers could still kill dragons.

Little is known about the Scorching, but it was most likely a horrible time for scavengers, especially when the queens came along.

Trivia

  • Once, Clay accidentally called The Scorching "The Scalding".
  • NightWings hate IceWings because of a war that occurred before the Scorching.
