In [[The Dark Secret]] , when [[Mastermind]] is showing [[Starflight]] and [[Fatespeaker]] his laboratory, Orchid is being tested. When Starflight first sees her, she is chained to the wall and unconscious from thirst. Mastermind explains that he was trying to see how long the average RainWing could use their venom before running out, but she had fainted before he could even begin the test. The [[dragonets]] get her some water, and Starflight tells her that Mangrove is looking for her, causing her scales to turn pink. Later, during the attack of the Night Kingdom, Orchid is freed along with the rest of the RainWings. She is reunited with Mangrove, and they both return to the [[Rainforest Kingdom]] unharmed.
