The Obsidian Mirror is an animus-touched, by Stonemover, oval-shaped piece of glittering black glass. Greatness was supposed to use it to spy on the RainWings, but did not, as she didn't trust items made by animus dragons.
It can by activated by saying the name of the dragon that you want to see, then breathing smoke onto in. The dragons appear as colored tendrals of smoke, making vision unclear, but voices and background noises can be heard perfectly clearly.
When used, it creates a feeling that it is pulling something out of the user's heart accompanied by a sick, slithering sensation through the user's blood.
The Brightest Night
Strongwings rescued the mirror from the NightWing's island. It is first used by Preyhunter to check if Queen Glory is looking for Sunny, whom they had kidnapped. He states that it has not worked well lately, and that Stonemover may have done something to it before he disappeared.
After she escaped, Sunny stole the mirror and used it to follow her captors to the Kingdom of Sand. She used it to find out where Strongwings, Preyhunter, and Fierceteeth are. To keep it safe, she buried it before entering into the Scorpion Den, following the Nightwings. After the war ended, Sunny tried to retrieve the mirror but it was gone. Whether it had been stolen or swallowed by the sands is unknown.
