Template:Charbox Obsidian is an adult male NightWing guard who appeared in Winter Turning and Talons of Power.
Appearance
He was described to have black scales and black eyes.
Personality
He is described by Moonwatcher to, "have dark thoughts." According to her, he despises being on guard duty and hates his patrol partner, Bromeliad, as well. He also wishes that the NightWings could overthrow Glory and take the Rainforest for themselves, showing a liking towards the feeling of dominance. Obsidian shows a hatred towards IceWings, like the rest of his tribe, as well as towards Moonwatcher, whom he thinks of as 'the peculiar dragonet.'
Biography
The Jade Mountain Prophecy
While Moonwatcher was checking if there were any dragons approaching them, she read Obsidian's mind, and described him as "someone with dark thoughts." Later on, Kinkajou flagged him down, and he escorted them to the NightWing village.
Obsidian was seen complaining to Darkstalker about insects in the rainforest.

- Obsidian is the first known NightWing to be named after the volcano they once lived in.
- Obsidian is one of the thirteen known NightWings to have a one-word name.
- Obsidian most likely went with King Darkstalker to the Lost City of Night, and it is unknown if he stayed there. However, he probably returned to the Rainforest Kingdom.
