When Moccasin's bigwings, Taupe, told her that she had a red egg and that the queen said for it to be destroyed, Moccasin decided to let her egg hatch. During the hatching, Moccasin and her siblings spied on the eggs and saw that the dragonet from the blood-red egg looked no different than the other dragonets. Despite this, Moccasin continued to spy on her dragonets and witnessed the dragonet get hit by fire and have no burns.
